Up at night thinking bout u
But if your goal is to turn cold traffic into warm leads, here is some more info to help.
Don’t beat around the bush
People can smell a phony outreach message a mile away.
So, stop forcing a conversation when you both know you’re trying to sell something.
Warm them up with actual, genuine feeling and takes about the stuff they are saying on the timeline.
But, pitch in the DMs.
Be super clear about what you are offering.
Put in the work to see how you can help that person SPECIFICALLY, put in real numbers, social proof, and risk reversal.
Example of a good one I got recently:
Hey Swanagan, if we could add $10k-$20k/mo to your coaching business on a pay-on-results-basis, would you be interested? I just helped a fitness coach, @mike_behr, go from $0 to $28k/mo in 6 months. I’ll wire you $5k if we don’t add at least $10k/mo to your business. Best case you make an extra $120k/year. Worse case you net $5k. Want more info?
Catch them off guard
But before you get to the pitch, you need to get them to open the email or DM.
The best way is prove you aren’t another bot.
It’s ok to put something super cringey and click-baity, as long as the message is really good.
Here’s the best example of this I’ve ever seen from Nick Verge:
Subject Line: Up at night thinking bout u
Hey Adam,
Apologies on the cringeworthy subject line I had to ensure you opened this email.
I was on rumble, saw the “gun on ice” ad for [REDACTED], looked through your guys’ sales page, and immediately thought to myself, “These guys must be crushing.”
I know good direct response when I see it…
I’ve been in DR copy for about 5 years, have worked with a lot of right wing conservative brands, and it’s my favorite niche to work with.
Most notably, I wrote an entire promo for Alex Jones that printed $5M in 2 weeks with zero affiliates or outside traffic, just the house list.
(More than happy to send you the link to page if you’re interested.)
So why am I emailing you?
Well, if you’re like most of the direct response guys I know, you guys can never get enough good copy…
And I know that we could make a ton of cash together in two ways… new promos for your list and cold traffic, and beating previous controls.
If you’re open to chatting dude, I’m getting ready for a trip to Austin, TX tomorrow so will be around most the day just packing.
Shoot me back an email with a time that works for you and let’s hop on a quick 10 minute call to see if there’s any synergy!
Would love to do a quick trial project, show you I got the guns and then dive into some more lucrative projects.
All the best,
Nicholas Verge

Track everything
Once you’ve warmed up prospects, got your offer down, and get their attention, you just have to make it a process.
And track every step.
I recommend setting up a simple tracker in a Google Sheet and sticking with an outreach frequency goal.
I try to send 5 targeted DMs a day.
For the tracker (poor man’s CRM) I just have 3 columns:
Name
Email
Funnel position (commenting, DM sent, call booked, customer, etc)
Because remember, If you don’t track it, it didn’t happen.
Outreach is a long game.
Track, refine, and keep showing up.
Results come with time and practice.
Cheers,
Swanagan
