Pay to play

6 AM calls with big creators

Good morning!

Today was going to be an email about post ideation and how to never be idea-less.

But, I just had a call with a big creator (>150,000 followers) at 6 AM this morning.

And it was a game changer.

He dropped so much alpha on me, that my head is still spinning.

I paid this guy quite a bit of money for a 30 minute call, and he not only stayed on for an hour, he was asking me if I had more stuff to discuss right before we got off.

And, he’s offering to send me a ton of resources based on what we talked about.

Incredible.

But this is just another example of something many people don’t get…

In life, you have to pay to play.

There’s many versions of this:

  • Pay your way into circles

  • Buy products from future clients

  • Pay for a 1-on-1 with a high value person

And on and on.

Money can get you in doors that you’d never be able to access otherwise.

Even if it feels like a big investment, you’ll get an infinitely larger amount of opportunities by paying that fee.

The point is, sometimes you have to pay to play.

And if you're not willing to pay? Well, enjoy watching from the sidelines as others sprint past you.

Look, I get it.

Dropping cash on calls or mastermind groups can feel like a gamble.

But the real gamble is thinking you can get ahead without investing in yourself or by working your way through every problem without help.

So here's your homework:

Find someone who's crushing it in your niche.

Reach out.

Offer to pay for their time.

Then soak up every droplet of wisdom they offer.

It doesn’t stop with paying for and getting on a call.

You need to be the best case study that person has ever had. And to do this, you have to implement EVERY THING they say. Then follow up and show them everything you did and the results.

Trust me, it'll be the best investment you make all year.

Till next time,

Swanagan
