Don't talk crap (unless it's to my face)

Lessons from John

I used to work with this guy, John.

He was/is a control system technician and had been in the workforce for over 40 years.

Super smart guy with only a high school diploma, I learned so much about control systems from him.

Smoked a pack of cigarettes a day and was always drinking a coke while hanging out in the electrician’s shop.

But my favorite part thing about John was that he was just a bundle of freaking positive energy.

And he never talked bad about people behind their back.

As in probably most work environments, there was this undercurrent of backstabbing and politics happening where people were constantly working to undermine the other person in an attempt make themselves look better.

But not John…

He just leaned on being really good at his job, accepting fault without passing along blame, and his cigarettes.

We can all take a page out of John’s book.

(just not the smoking part, that’ll catch up to eventually unless you have his genetics)

See, I’ve been reading this book “Understanding the Map of Consciousness” and it’s been changing my life.

I actually had an emotional experience, unexpectedly, while reading the first chapter.

But one of the main ideas in the book is that there is objective TRUTH.

And the closer we get to living that truth, the higher the awareness we have and the more energy we tap into.

On the map in the book, anger and fear (motivations behind tearing others down to make you look better) are towards the bottom of the map, while love and acceptance is toward the top.

For me, I’m optimizing for more energy and love.

Stop talking crap behind people’s back. This is low energy.

Emanate high energy, positivity, and love.

This is optimal.

Cheers,

Swanagan
