The conquest of 2024

PSA…

The most important part of worldbuilding is community.

But I’ll be totally honest with you, I have no idea how to build a community.

And the thought of trying is super intimidating.

That’s how I know it’s what I need to be focusing on.

The obstacle is the way.

4 months ago I never would have considered sending a daily email.

I had that same trepidatious feeling.

(I know, I broke the twitter content rule of “write at the 5th grade level with that word)

But, here we are. 

I’m writing a daily email and you are reading it.

This is a true peek behind the curtain. I am really not sure where it’s going to go.

But I do know it’s going to happen.

So, here is how I’m going to learn:

There are levels to the worldbuilding game that you can stack over time:

• Post online 3x per day ✅

• Use that social platform to build an email list ✅

• Build a community from the email list and social followers

• Elevate community to live events

I’m firmly in the community phase now.

I’ll still post regularly and send these emails, but now that I’m gaining traction, getting into a rhythm and knowing what I’m writing about, it’s time to layer.

However, with my lack of knowledge and experience building communities, I don’t know what I don’t know. 

Here’s how I’m going to figure it out:

• I’m joining the Community Empire Skool group. 

  • Tagline: The launch pad for builders discovering trends, growing audiences & building profitable internet empires. 

  • Sounds like a great place to start.

• Do YouTube research

  • The old fashioned way. Going to be doing deep dives on Pat Flynn, Adam Howell, and Greg Isenberg’s content on YT. And taking notes.

• Brushing up on my Seth Godin books.

  • Seth is the community man. “People like us do things like this.” right? 

I’ll keep y’all up to date.

Tomorrow I’ll show what I’ve learned so far along with some of the points I need to iron out.
