Not the korean boy band (unfortunately)
Good morning!
Lot’s going on in the Ray house this week.
We took an 8-hour trip to see family last week, got back late Sunday, and then my daughter had a living history presentation at school yesterday.
But along with all of this, I also:
Launched an offer 2 weeks ago (offline)
Got my first client with it last week
Completed onboarding yesterday
It’s been a lot. But exciting.
And I’ve learned a ton.
But more importantly, I’ve gotten a lot clearer on my roadmap to a 9-5-less existence.
See, my WHY is to:
Take care of my family
Do work that fulfills and energizes me
And do all of this from anywhere in the world
My current job only satisfies the first criteria.
And I’m not complaining!
But there are so many opportunities available in the world, that none of us have to settle for a career or life doing something we didn’t intentionally choose.
And that’s a big reason this email list exists: to document MY journey towards freedom in order to help YOU do the same.
Right now my strategy is 2-pronged. Work on my new agency and continue building my personal brand.
There are defined milestones for both of these.
For the agency, my short term goal is 8-9 clients. This will allow me to focus wholly on this and quit my 9-5. The next step is outreach. Which I suck at. But I’m committed to becoming amazing at it. Just takes reps. And I’ll get them in.
For my personal brand, I will continue writing daily emails, posting at least 3x/day, engaging with cool people that I want to build relationships with, and building a course catalog full of solutions to problems that I’ve solved for myself.
Eventually, all of this will be packaged into the Optimal community that I’m building.
It’s a slow process, but I’m building it brick by brick.
And I’m super stoked that y’all are here with me.
