Behind the scenes
The stuff I'm working on right now
It’s been a while since I’ve done a BTS email.
Let’s fix that.
I’ve been working on a ton of stuff recently. And that means lots of moving pieces; which is both fun and stressful.
There are 3 distinct areas that I’m currently working on:
Personal brand
Creator Task
Ghostletter
Here’s the low down on each…
Personal Brand
Most of my emails in the last couple of weeks have been detailing the social media strategy I came up with a while back.
The plan is to package it all up into a giveaway that I’ll probably release last week.
But the gist of it is that I’m posting 6x a day on X using these daily emails as the basis for all content, with top of funnel stuff in the AM, middle of the funnel around lunch, and bottom of funnel content towards the end of the day.
Top of the funnel content has been my Achilles heel historically, so I’m working on leaning into that to grow my business, Ghostletter.
Then, I’m going nuts with engagement with key, big accounts and doing a lot of networking in the DMs.
I’m seeing quite a bit of momentum from these 3 things.
Ghostletter
I’ve gotten a lot of clarity around my offer for Ghostletter, my service based business.
In the past, I’ve done newsletter management, paid ads, website development, ghostwriting, copywriting, and business social media management.
Basically throwing a lot of stuff against the wall to see what sticks.
And what is sticking is Ghostwriting. I’m starting to see some great results for my clients, so I’m building an ICP, offer, and marketing for this particular service.
I’m going to release any clients that aren’t aligned with this new direction.
Mainly because I’m of the mind that if I don’t focus on one area as a foundation, I’ll get marginalized by the businesses that are.
I want to be world class, and this is the only way to do it, in my experience.
Creator Task
This is a new development.
It’s a software product that I’m building based on tools that use for Ghostletter.
Basically, if there is a tool that I need and either, A. doesn’t exist, or B. is super expensive, I’ve been noting it and adding it as a feature in the platform I’m building.
My background is engineering, and I enjoy building stuff.
That, in combination with AI tools that make development 100x easier, has made it easy to build the tools I need.
A few things I’m working on with Creator Task:
Daily task list with progress bar based on preset social media posting goals
Ability to select well-known creator task lists to use for yourself
ICP buildout and storage
Storing of content pillars and key messages for post creation
Engagement lists for X and LinkedIn
AI chat feature for answering ICP questions and turning it into content ideas
I’m pretty excited about this, and using it every day.
Eventually will release it as a product when I get it up to snuff.
And that’s it!
Lot’s going one with some momentum building.
I’ll keep y’all in the loop.
As always, thanks for being here.
I appreciate you.
